DMAPS

1. Program (Outline)

The Specialty Divisions will be organized and convened to discuss the details of the program. Initial issues to be addressed:

1.1 Coverage of the program: Types of natural and man-made disasters
1.2 Volunteers’ training design – theoretical & practical
1.3 Creation of teams/clustering at national, regional, chapters levels
1.4 Prepare a manual

2. Other Plans

1. Accreditation of Trainors & Volunteers (giving them official credentials) certificates/IDs
2. Issuance of inspection manual, tools/kit – safety helmet/survival kit
3. Training of Trainors – Part 2
4. Schedule Training of Volunteers/Target to have one as soon as possible in Masbate to be conducted by PICE Trainors who have been accredited in the last Midyear Convention and to be supervised by ASEP.
5. Renew formal linkage with the OCD-NDCC
6. Establish direct linkage of Chapter with the LGU
7. Establish direct linkage with Red Cross and other similar institutions
8. Plan out fund raising (by the Ways and Means Committee)

Because of uncertain funding support from the OCD-NDCC, funding will come from the PICE National Budget.
1 in Luzon (preferably during the National Convention) November
1 in Visayas (in between the National and Midyear Convention) September
1 in Mindanao (preferably during the Midyear Convention) June


Objective: The Trainors will echo the training program at the chapter level for the PICE members who have volunteered to be part of DMAPS. Contiguous chapters may conduct 1 training program for the volunteers (Funding issue for further discussion by the Ways and Means) Committee.
